Hello Everyone-
I hope y'all are able to settle into a nice holiday weekend. But, before you do maybe you can make a comment about the Chevron near Bethany Lake? Or you could cozy up and listen to the audio from the hearing last week? These opportunities are made available to you below. :)
The Hearing Officer listened to arguments on November 17th as planned. The team representing Robert "Bob" Barman, the applicant, focused their argument on avoiding paying for the required improvements to West Union and shifting that cost to us, the taxpayers.
You can hear the full audio and the rebuttal from our team on the hearing audio recording below.

Yes you can still comment! The Hearing Officer extended the deadline until this Friday, November 25th to make new arguments. So, if you haven't yet made a comment please do so. The most helpful comments will cite the technical details of the Staff report or application. However, this is an open process and every resident should feel free to express themselves as they see fit. Your comments on the old applications from last year DO NOT get considered on this new application.

I want to say thank you to everyone who made a comment on the call and in written comments too! On the call Thursday the Hearing Officer praised how the community was keeping their comments focused while on the call. And for me personally it has been so great to see so many people get involved in this process through written comments as well. Thank you for your efforts.
So, when will we know the outcome from all of this? Due to the extended comment, rebuttal, and closing comment period that the Hearing Officer made it seem that we won't know his decision until January 2023. We will keep y'all posted as we learn more.
Thank you,
Brandon
